Digital Cross-Stitch
This project is an interactive computer vision artwork that aims to digitize the traditional Chinese cultural symbol of "cross-stitch" through technology, giving it new vitality.
The color palette is inspired by a sunset I photographed in London. The combination of soft warm tones and deep purples creates a visual atmosphere that is both warm and modern, aiming to evoke a sense of nostalgia.
Cross-stitch was once an integral part of many Chinese families' collective memories and a significant part of my childhood. However, it has gradually disappeared from our daily lives. Through real-time camera mapping, I enclose myself within this digital cross-stitch, attempting to evoke the warm memories of my childhood.
