Dancing Line
Dancing Line is a generative artwork where lines continuously bend, twist, and glow, unfolding in a gradient of colors. Each transformation of motion and hue is translated into sound, creating a synesthetic experience that merges vision and hearing. The piece explores the rhythm of light and form, inviting audiences to perceive movement as both image and music.
The shifting gradients are influenced by the light aesthetics of James Turrell, creating an atmosphere that is both meditative and immersive. The installation invites audiences into a space of calm and reflection, where the act of watching becomes listening, and light itself turns into a therapeutic presence.
Inspired by the idea of “hearing the sound of light,” the project explores the translation of visual rhythm into auditory form. Built with TouchDesigner, the work generates flowing lines and gradient colors whose data streams are mapped into electronic ambient sound.
